Seoul is currently glowing purple. With massive concerts and events happening in 2026, thousands of global ARMYs have landed in South Korea to celebrate the spectacular return of BTS.
If you are one of the lucky fans exploring Seoul right now, you already know that this city is essentially a giant museum of BTS history. But with so many places scattered across the massive city, where should you actually go? How do you find the hidden gems where the members spent their trainee days?
As your local guide at K-Life Lab, I have designed the ultimate BTS pilgrimage route. From their humble beginnings in a cramped basement to the towering modern HYBE headquarters, here are the absolute must-visit spots for any ARMY traveling to Seoul. Get your ARMY bombs and comfortable walking shoes ready!
Hakdong Park & The Old BigHit Building
To truly understand the journey of BTS, you must go back to where it all began: the quiet, hilly neighborhood of Nonhyeon-dong. This area is ground zero for the band's history.
- The Old Studio: If you walk down the narrow streets, you will find the original BigHit Entertainment building. While the company has long since moved, the walls of this small brick building are completely covered in thousands of heartfelt messages written by ARMYs from all over the world. It is an incredibly emotional place to visit.
- Hakdong Park: Just a short walk away is Hakdong Park. During their gruelling trainee days, the members would come to this exact park to sit on the swings, practice their dancing in the dirt, and dream about their debut. Sitting on those same swings gives you a profound connection to their past.
Yoojung Sikdang (The Soul Food)
You cannot do a BTS tour without eating at their absolute favorite restaurant from their rookie days. Located right next to their old studio, this small, humble restaurant is now a global landmark.
- The Vibe: The moment you step inside, you will be overwhelmed. Every single inch of the walls, ceiling, and tables is covered in BTS posters, photos, and fan art. The lovely owner, who used to feed the boys when they had no money, still warmly welcomes fans today.
- What to Order: You must order the "Bangtan Meal" (Heukdaeji Dolsot Bibimbap). It is a sizzling stone bowl of black pork and mixed vegetables. It is exactly what the members used to eat almost every single day after exhausting dance practices. It is cheap, filling, and incredibly delicious.
HYBE Headquarters & Yongsan Area
After visiting their humble beginnings, it is time to witness the empire they built. Take the subway to Sinyongsan Station to see the massive, futuristic HYBE building.
- The Building: While regular fans cannot go inside the actual artist studios or offices, just standing outside this massive architectural marvel is a photo opportunity. You will often see huge birthday banners and digital ads for the members at the bus stops directly in front of the building.
- Nearby Cafes: The streets surrounding HYBE are filled with aesthetic cafes that frequently host "Cup Sleeve Events" for the members' birthdays or anniversaries. You can buy a coffee and receive beautiful, fan-made photo cards and cup holders.
Seoul Forest & Nodeulseom (Namjooning)
If you need a break from the busy city streets, you should experience the concept of "Namjooning"—taking time to heal in nature, visit museums, and ride bicycles, just like RM (Kim Namjoon).
- Seoul Forest: This massive, beautiful park is one of RM's favorite places to relax. You can rent a Seoul City Bike (Ttareungi), ride through the dense trees, and even find the dedicated "RM Forest" bench that was sponsored by fans.
- Nodeulseom (Nodeul Island): An artificial island located under the Hangang Bridge. It has a beautiful cultural space with a bookstore, music lounges, and cafes. It is the perfect place to sit by the Han River, listen to "Seoul" from RM's Mono mixtape, and watch the sunset.
Survival Tips for Concert Days
If you are in Seoul for a concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium or Gocheok Sky Dome, preparation is everything.
- Subway Strategy: Do not even think about taking a taxi after a concert. The traffic will be paralyzed. Make sure your T-Money card is fully recharged before the concert starts so you don't have to wait in line at the ticket machines with 50,000 other people.
- Naver Map: Remember, Google Maps does not work well for walking in Korea. Download Naver Map or KakaoMap to navigate the subway exits and find the venues accurately.
💜 ARMY Pro Tip: The T-Money Card!
Go to a CU or GS25 convenience store as soon as you land. You can often find exclusive, limited-edition BTS collaboration T-Money (transportation) cards. It is the cheapest and most useful souvenir you can buy!
